Privacy Policy — Soltid

Effective date: 25 May 2026

Soltid (“the app”) is designed to respect your privacy. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.

Summary

Location

If you tap “Use my location”, the app asks iOS for your device location and uses it for two purposes:

  1. To calculate local sunrise, sunset, and daylight times on your device.
  2. To look up a readable place name for your location, using Apple’s Maps geocoding service.

When you search for a city by name, that search text is also sent to Apple’s Maps geocoding service to find matching places.

Your chosen location (coordinates and place name) is stored only on your device so the app remembers it between launches. It is not transmitted to us or to any server we control. We do not operate any servers and we never receive your location.

Geocoding requests are handled by Apple, governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

You can change or remove the stored location at any time within the app, and revoke location access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Soltid.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect data from children. It contains no accounts, messaging, or user-generated content.
